Weekly update
Busy week ... a couple of things that highlighted it:
- a very friendly and insightful meeting with Olivier, the owner of Mille-Feuille a new, amazing Patisserie in the village. http://www.millefeuille-nyc.com
- A great day bread baking at PQ Bleecker street with my former FCI instructor Karen and her crew! Thanks for welcoming me Anna, Jo, Jonathan and Karen!
- A very kind donation of wine cases (explanation to come later) by Phil, the friendly and helpful owner of the liquor store on Park and 7th. Thanks Phil!
- Good design discussions with Erica, my contractor's designer
- Construction wise, a lot of progress, the electrical challenge we had earlier seems to be resolved thanks to Robert Jenny, my contractor and his electrical contractor, Mike. Electrical work is now progressing.
- the railing of the staircase has being changed, for a nice elegant black iron railing
staircase and railing before
staircase and railing after
- Tiles are done. The last part was in the counter / service area
- the "template" of the countertop in the service / counter area has been done, necessary step before the counter is cut to the actual dimensions and installed in a couple of days...
- The inside window has been installed, allowing the future customers to look into the bakery, watching bakers shape the breads, loading and unloading the oven ...
- the walk-in cooler was installed by Ray, the refrigeration/ HVAC guy
